Course Syllabus
The Fastrack to Yachtmaster™ Offshore course is a bundled product of three other courses:
RYA Day Skipper Theory Online
RYA Coastal/Yachtmaster™ Theory Online
RYA SRC/ Marine Radio VHF
All courses are accessed as if they were purchased individually and students will receive the individual certificates for each course on passing the exams.
Pre-Course Experience+
Some practical experience is desirable although not essential.
Assumed Knowledge+
A basic knowledge of navigation, tides, meteorology and safety theory.
Student Instructor Ratio+
You will be assigned a dedicated RYA Yachtmaster™ Instructor to answer your questions.
Duration+
40hrs online study (Day Skipper)
40hrs online study (Coadtal/Yachtmaster)
8 hours for SRC / VHF Radio.

Position fixing
Course shaping and plotting
Tidal calculations
Use of almanacs and Admiralty publications
Electronic navigation
Taking and interpreting forecasts

Ability after Course+
The knowledge needed to skipper a yacht on coastal passages by day and night. The holder of this certificate can go on to work towards their Coastal Skipper practical course or Yachtmaster™ qualifications.

Just finished my Day Skipper Theory with Sailing Course Online - I was really impressed by the overall quality of the course and the support received.
